Typical exclusions and limitations include:

• Excesses to make a claim;
• Disciplinary hearings with your employer or internal grievance procedures;
• An upper limit on the value of the contract entered into;
• Minimum amounts in dispute in order to claim;
• Disputes arising from loans, mortgages, pensions or investments;
• An illness or bodily injury that happens gradually;
• Failure to diagnose a condition.

There are a number of other general exclusions, including claims for events that happened before the policy began or claims where the prospects of success are not at 51% or higher.
